Thompson Plumbing, Heating and Cooling announces it has raised $30,240 this year to support Disabled American Veterans!
Last year, Wesley Holm, Thompson Plumbing, Heating and Cooling’s owner, was inspired to do something to help our country’s veterans. “I’m sure we can all be thankful for the people throughout the many years in the history of this country who have made incredible sacrifices in defending America,” said Holm. “I wanted to try and do something special for the many veterans in our community who have served on behalf of this country,” he explained.
Thompson’s donation of $22,470 to the DAV last year was so inspiring and supported by so many in the community that it would have been irresponsible to not continue to support our troops for many years to come!
In keeping with the commitment to serve the community, Thompson launched its 2nd Annual Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Campaign on August 1st. As last year, a donation for every plumbing, heating, cooling and drain call tune up in August and September is given to the Disabled American Veterans and for every purchase of a heating and air conditioning system, $100 is donated to the DAV. With the help of the community, Thompson has exceeded the 2010 goal of $25,000!
As a result of the overwhelming support of Thompson’s loyal Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky customers, the Thompson team was able to raise a grand total of $52,710 to the DAV since 2009! “The DAV relies completely on the generosity of the public to accomplish its mission,” said DAV’s National Headquarters Executive Richard E. Patterson. The DAV is dedicated to a single purpose, building better lives for our nation’s disabled veterans and their families.
